The Dodgers will interview New York Mets third base coach and former Auburn manager Manny Acta this week, bringing to four the number of candidates for the managerial job that has been vacant since Jim Tracy left Oct. 3.
Former Tampa Bay bench coach John McLaren was interviewed Monday at Dodger Stadium and former Boston manager Grady Little will be interviewed this week.
Jim Fregosi, who has managed four teams, was the first candidate interviewed and is considered the front-runner.
Acta, 37, was a finalist for the Arizona Diamondback opening last year. He was third base coach for the Montreal Expos from 2002 to 2004 and has managed in the Dominican Winter League for several years.
