This week, we spotlight Emily Tortorici of Peter's NY Pizzeria in Auburn.

Occupation: Manager at Peter's NY Pizzeria on Grant Avenue in Auburn

Q. What is the one food you cannot live without? Why?

A. Pizza, because it is so yummy.

Q. If you coulld only live on cotton candy, Cracker Jack or Pixie Stix, which would you pick? Why?

A. Cracker Jack, because all that sugar would be bad for my baby.

Q. Fill in the blank. People would be surprised to know that even though I work in the food industry, when I am at home in the kitchen, I _____.

A. I do not cook very often.

Q. If you were given a million dollars to open your own restaurant or bar, describe the bar or restaurant and what type of food you would serve.

A. An Italian restaurant. I would feature Italian entrees with nothing but the best ingredients.

Q. Where would it be located? Why?

A. Probably in New York City. I have always wanted to live there.

Q. On the day of your restaurant/bar's grand opening, if you could select anyone in the world to be your first three guests, who would they be?

A. Donald Trump, Edgerrin James, and Kobe Bryant.

Q. Describe your most embarrassing moment while working on the job.

A. I was transferring hot subs from the oven to be wrapped and I dropped them all over the floor in front of a line of customers.

Q. What are the attributes of a great boss?

A. Well, my dad is my boss and he is great anyway. A good boss is fair, but firm. Also, a good boss should be just a hardworking as you are.

Q. What have you learned are the top three things to run a successful food business?

A. Quality of food, consistency, and good customer service.

Q. If you weren't working in the food business what would you like to be doing? Now, realistically, what would you probably be doing?

A. Working for Donald Trump, running one of his multi-million dollar companies. Realistically, I would be managing some other type of business.

Q. Ugh. What is the one food you cannot stomach? Why?

A. Seafood. I don't like the smell at all!
