Virginia Forshee

CATO - Virginia Forshee, 78, of Cato, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005.
Virginia was a longtime resident of Cato. She was a 20-year volunteer dispatcher of SCAT Van in northern Cayuga County, and worked for the American Dairy Association as chaperone of the NYS Dairy Princess. She was salutatorian of her high school class and graduated early. Virginia was a loving mother of six, grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother of seven. She is well-loved by many to whom she opened her heart and home during the last 50 years.

She is survived by her dear friend, Robert; sons, Walter (Marian) Forshee of Bemus Point, Wayne (Cindy) Forshee of Senoia, Ga., and David (Val) Forshee of Cato; daughters, Suzanne (Richard) Zitrick of Reading, Pa., Sharon Forshee and her husband, Jerome Belliner, of Skaneateles, and Elizabeth (Ralph) Arena of Martville; sisters, JoAnn Little of Newfield and Ilah Flynn of Newark; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, in Cato Union Church, Cato. There are no calling hours.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to CIMVAC, PO Box 97, Cato, NY 13033; SCAT Van, 17 Nelson St, Auburn, NY 13021; or Cato Christian Food Pantry, c/o Cato Union Church, Main Street, Cato, NY 13033.

Arrangements are by Jewell Funeral Homes Inc., Cato.
