Auburn residents filled up with turkey on Thursday. They shopped themselves tired Friday. And today brings the final installment of a holiday-season tradition - the 19th annual Holiday Parade and Celebration.
Thousands will fill downtown Auburn streets from 4 to 8 p.m. to catch a parade, shop and dine at area businesses, visit with Santa and just soak up all of the holiday atmosphere.
The parade, featuring 24 floats this year, starts on East Hill and ends at Memorial City Hall. The traditional lighting of the city tree then follows.
The day also includes craft-making, cookie decorating, a silent auction for wreaths, horse-drawn wagon rides and a downtown storefront decorating contest.
