In girls soccer, Auburn, Union Springs, Jordan-Elbridge and Skaneateles all had strong regular seasons and earned postseason bids.

Union Springs had the biggest turnaround, going from 1-15 in 2004 to 9-6-1 this year. The Wolves earned a No. 2 seed in the Section IV playoffs.

The Maroons won their last three games to earn a No. 4 seed in the Section III playoffs.

After getting bounced in the first round of sectionals two straight years, Jordan-Elbridge finally got over the hump and knocked off Sauquoit Valley to advance to the quarterfinals. The Eagles got a big boost this season from high-scoring phenom Kristin Raeon.

Skaneateles also put together a solid season, capped with a No. 11 seed in sectionals.
