Several venues host local trap shooting
The Cayuga County Sportsmen Club is having trap, skeet and sporting clay shooting every Sunday morning. For more information, call 252-2031.

Buckmasters banquet postponed until Dec. 9
The Finger Lakes chapter of the Buckmasters American Deer Foundation (BADF) postponed its annual banquet. The event that was scheduled for Nov. 11, will now take place on Dec. 9 at the Auburn Golf and Country Club.
The funds raised will fund the chapter's projects, which include purchasing a gun/bow mount for a wheelchair, providing a hunt scholarship for a disabled or terminally ill hunter that has never harvested a whitetail deer and scheduling a Hunters of Tomorrow workshop for this summer to introduce youngsters to outdoor activities. There will be many raffles as well as auctions.
The doors will open at 5 p.m. The buffet dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. The live auction will commence followed by the raffle drawings after dessert.
A single ticket is $30, two tickets are $50 and sponsorship tickets are $200.
Tickets may be purchased at The Fur Shed in Weedsport, Mike's Bikes, Boards and Bows Archery Center in Auburn Plaza.
Tickets can also be purchased by calling JR Gould (294-1604) or Randy Smith (253-9846).
Winter Tri-County Trap League to start
The season opener for the the Otisco Lake Rod and Gun Club Winter Tri-Country Trap League is Dec. 4.
Sign ups are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Sunday.

Bass Pro Shops and the Fingerlakes Mall will kick-off the 2005 Christmas season at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19. Santa Claus will arrive in the front vestibule of Bass Pro to light the Christmas tree.
The tree lighting will be accompanied by seasonal songs performed by the Wells College Choir.
