Boehlert to speak at Rotary Club meeting
U.S. Rep. Sherwood Boehlert, R-New Hartford, will speak during the Auburn Rotary Club's lunch meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Boehlert will talk about Washington, D.C., political happenings, followed by a question-and-answer session.
The luncheon program starts at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn on North Street in Auburn.
The Rotary Club meets every Tuesday for a luncheon and program at the Holiday Inn.

St. Nick heading to Fingerlakes Mall
Fingerlakes Mall welcomes Santa Claus with a parade at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Santa will light the Christmas tree at Bass Pro Shops at 10:30 a.m., and then will ride in the parade. Local youth groups, cheerleaders, gymnasts, karate students, 4-H and Girl Scouts will participate in the parade. The Soda Ash Six Dixie jazz band will lead the parade, then perform at Bass Pro Shops. The parade will start at Sears and wind through the entire mall before ending up at Santa's new cabin home in the food court.
Santa will be available following the parade for visits and photos. Digital photos are $8 or 2 for $15. Santa's hours for that week are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20; from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays; and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Friday, Nov. 25.

Red Cross seeking ‘Great Heroes'
The Cayuga County Red Cross chapter is seeking nominees for its annual recognition of “Great Heroes” who rescued another person or helped a fellow citizen in an emergency situation.
Nomination forms are available at the chapter's office at 11 State St., Auburn, or through e-mail at chapter@ccredcross.org.
More information can be obtained by calling 252-9596.
The selected nominees will be honored at a luncheon at the Holiday Inn March 29, 2006.
