AUBURN - Leona C. Nardella, 88, most recently of Finger Lakes Center for Living and formerly of Standard Woods, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, in Auburn Memorial Hospital.
Leona was a self-employed hair dresser and until her retirement in 1979, was employed in Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church.
The wife of the late Daniel Nardella, she is survived by two daughters, Jane/Richard Barton of Tempe, Ariz. and Karen/Edward Karlik of Elbridge; nine grandchildren, Dr. Todd/Angela Karlik, Kenneth Karlik, Sherry Genkos, Tim/ Danielle Karlik, Carla/David Schile, Mary Saunders, Rue/Irene Saunders, Jill/Corliss Miller and Jennifer Law; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Joseph/Jennie Nardella and Frank/Phil Nardella; a sister-in-law, Connie Siracusa; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Law in 1984; a sister, Thelma Fillingham in 1999 and a grandson, Thomas D. Law in 2005.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian burial to be offered by the Rev. James Enright at 11:30 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Viewing will be 3 to 6 p.m. today in the Cheche Funeral Home, 1778 Clark St. Road, Auburn.
