Firefighters host chicken barbecue
Aurelius and Fleming 1 fire departments will host a chicken barbecue on Saturday in front of the Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Center in the Fingerlakes Mall.
The barbecue will be part of the Sportsman's Tailgate Sale and Game Cook-off hosted by the Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs of Cayuga County.
Barbecue chicken will be sold for $4 a half starting at 11 a.m. and will be available until the supply runs out. The Tailgate Sale & Game Cook-off will also take place 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. out front, rain or shine. Anyone can sign up prior to the event at the Bass Pro Shops Customer Service Counter or during the day for $10, which covers both the sale and cook-off.

A discussion between four county political party leaders will be rebroadcast 7:30 p.m. today on channel 11. During “Beyond the Front Page,” originally taped Nov. 1, party leaders reflect on the campaign season, discuss term limits and talk about the difficulty in recruiting candidates.
The party leaders are: Cherl Heary (Republican), Laurie Michelman (Democratic), Greg Rigby (Conservative) and Fred Farrell (Independence).
State Senator David Valesky, D-Oneida, appears on “Inside Government” at 7 p.m., where he talks about Propositions One and Two on the November ballot.
