Ellison's 280 yards leads Auburn rout

OSWEGO - Auburn High running back Quendel Ellison led a potent offensive attack with 280 yards on 18 carries and three touchdowns as the Maroons defeated Oswego 65-29 on Saturday to finish their season 4-5.
The Maroons ran all over the Buccaneers with 636 yards of total offense - 546 on the ground.

Zach Prentice added five carries for 69 yards and two TDs, Darnell Murphy had four rushes for 66 yards and two scores, Brandon Tape scored on a 55-yard reverse and Matt Hoey had two carries for 51 yards and a TD.

Murphy went 4-for-6 with 90 yards passing. Tape had one catch for 40 yards and Zambito also had a catch for 43 yards.

Southern Springs 48, Watkins Glen 14

UNION SPRINGS - The Wolves beat Watkins Glen to finish the season 7-1 .

After surpassing 1,000 yards rushing last week for only the second time in team history, halfback Cheol Kessler rushed for 127 yards on seven carries and two TDs. Kessler finished with 1,145 yards.

Bryan McClary also had a great day, with 105 yards on just three carries and two TDs. Also contributing were Cody Flanigan (six carries, 48 yards, TD), Tyler Jordan (10 carries, 60 yards) and guard Vinnie Salato (two rushes, 36 yards, TD).

The lone score through the air came on a 50-yard touchdown catch by tight end Pat Crowley. Dustin Clark made five extra-point kicks.

Cato-Meridian 27, West Canada 13

WEST CANADA - Running back Jason Brown scored all four Blue Devils touchdowns with 162 yards on 15 carries.

Austin Townsend had 123 yards on the ground on 17 carries. QB Robbie Dolph completed 8-of-10 passes for 108 yards.

T.K. Hayden had nine tackles and three sacks and Cody Hoag had 10 tackles and two sacks. The Blue Devils finished 3-6.
