Robert F. Douglas

CAYUGA - Robert F. Douglas, 84, of Springport Cove, Cayuga, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at Auburn Memorial Hospital.
Robert was born Aug. 15, 1921, in Red Creek, the son of the late Sumner and Christine Douglas. He was a mechanic for the Pittsford Highway Department for many years. Robert loved to go fishing and working with his hands. He could fix anything anywhere. Robert was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Robert will be sadly missed by all of his loving friends and family.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Irene Raes Douglas; children, Robert (Edith) Douglas, John (Sue) Douglas, and Lorraine (Greg) Martin; grandchildren, Robert, Chris and Leslie; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Robert; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Patrick Funeral Home, 26 W. Main St., Clifton Springs. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 14, at the White Haven Memorial Park Chapel, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford. Burial will be in White Haven Memorial Park.

Friends may contribute to the Clifton Springs Community Cancer Center, 2 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, NY 14432, in Robert's memory.
