AUBURN - David S. "Sam" Swan, 60, formerly of Victor, died Sept. 6, 2005, in Jenkintown, Pa.

David is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wood Swan of Auburn; his daughter, Kathryn (Kate) Swan Hill and her husband, Darren, of Jenkintown, Pa., and their children, Cooper and Ava Grace; his daughter, Sarah C. Swan of Germany and her husband, Warrant Officer Andrew Ludwick, of the U.S. Army, and their children, Parker and Mackenzie; his sister, Carol Baird of Illinois.

A celebration of David's life will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the home of his dear friends, Guy and Kathy Garnsey, Black Street (off Route 34), Scipio.

David had a rare form of malignant melanoma. His family requests that all donations be made to the David S. Swan Melanoma Fund, at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, c/o Naomi Hass MD, 7701 Burholme Ave., Philadelphia, Pa. 19111.

Arrangements are with the White Chapel Funeral Home, Auburn.
