Irma Jean Bergner

Irma Jean Bergner, 80, of Tex Pultz Parkway, Port Byron, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, in F. F. Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua.
Irma was born in Brewton, Ala. on Sept. 16, 1925. She was a graduate of Ithaca High School and later went on to be a secretary at Cornell University. She worked in the cafeteria for the Port Byron School system and worked with her husband for Bergner Auto Service. She was a former trustee for the village of Port Byron. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Port Byron and was active with many organizations there.

She is survived by a son, H. Russell Bergner Jr. of Port Byron; a daughter, Deborah Clark of Honeoye; two grandchildren, Michelle Lee Bergner and Malissa Eddie Bergner, She was predeceased by her husband, H. Russell Bergner Sr.

Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 at the Audioun Funeral Home, 218 Main St., Port Byron. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 from the First United Methodist Church, South St., Port Byron. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Byron.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Port Byron Ambulance Fund, PO Box 267; the First United Methodist Memorial Fund, South St., Port Byron, NY 13140 or the Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
