SKANEATELES - Howard J. Huey, 76, of Skaneateles and Yuma, Ariz., died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005.
Born in Elmira, he was a retired farmer and had been bus driver for Skaneateles Central School. He received a B.S. degree from Cornell University in 1950.
He was a 61-year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Skaneateles, a member of the Finger Lakes Antique Power Club, the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, and the NRA.
Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Helen Fisher Huey; two sons, Joseph (Sandy) Huey of Skaneateles and Jeffrey A. (Cherie) Huey of Cassville; a daughter, Susan (Keith) DePauw of Jordan; a sister, Ellen J. Huey of Remsen; grandchildren, Janice (Tim) Phillips, Philip Wilcox and Michael Huey; and great-grandchildren, Alex King, Tyler Phillips and Bryn Wilcox.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, at the First Presbyterian Church, Skaneateles. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Skaneateles.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, 49 Jordan St., Skaneateles.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 97 E. Genesee St., Skaneateles, or the charity of your choice.
