SCIPIO - Katherine E. Spicer, 94, of Black Street Road, Scipio, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Katherine was born in Oswego, on June 8, 1911. She was the daughter of Daniel E. and Ida Sandford Wells. Katherine was a former employee of Columbian Rope, and as a foster parent she provided a loving home to many children.
Katherine was a member of the Scipioville Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her family: her daughter, Mabel Chase and her husband, Donald, of Fleming; her sons, James Spicer and his wife, Ruth, of Freeville, and Adam Spicer and his wife, Judith, of Auburn; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband, Dewitt B. Spicer.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Soule Cemetery, Sennett, with the Rev. Hicks, of the Scipioville Presbyterian Church, officiating. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn.
