AUBURN -- Vincenta Tozzi Iacovino, 91, of Auburn, died peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home in Clifton Park.
She was a lifelong resident of Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis, in 1995. Vincenta was a devoted mother and grandmother. She also was an avid gardener and gourmet cook. In her younger years, she was very active in the St. Francis musical shows and the Mount Carmel Mothers Club.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Michael A. Iacovino and his wife, Evelyn, of Indian Shores, Fla., and Louis T. Iacovino and his wife, Mary-Jo, of New York City; one daughter, Lucille Healy and her husband, Steven, of Clifton Park; one sister, Michelina Friscarella of Jeanette, Pa.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Sept. 8, at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, in St. Mary's Church, Clark Street, Auburn. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Town of Fleming.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204, in memory of Vincenta.
