AUBURN -- Veronica A. B
ozek, 95, widow of Stanley J. Bozek, formerly of the Boyle Center, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at Auburn Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.
A life resident of Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Chayka. She was a communicant of St. Hyacinth Church, and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Veronica had been employed by Dunn & McCarthy until her retirement. Veronica, along with her sister, Helen Malek, taught crochet classes at the Boyle Center.
Surviving is her daughter, Theresa Cooper and her husband, Ken, of Seven Valleys, Pa.; her son, Richard Bozek of Auburn; her sister, Helen Malek of Auburn; and brothers, Bernard Chayka of Fleming, Michael Chayka of Niles and Joseph Chayka of Auburn; four grandchildren, Brian Cooper of Pennsylvania, Michael Bozek of Auburn, Richard Bozek Jr. of North Carolina, and Timothy George of Auburn; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward and Harry Chayka.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, in St. Hyacinth Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, at the Nicpon Funeral Home, 235 State St.
Contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Fund, or to St. Hyacinth Church.
