Two attempt to rob 15-year-old boy
A 15-year-old boy from Sennett was the victim of an attempted robbery along the nature trail at Cayuga Community College at about 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The boy was walking through the trail from his residence to a friend's house near Grant Avenue when he was approached by two males, according to Auburn police. The suspects demanded that he give them his iPod, and one of the men said he had a gun and made motions as if he was retrieving a gun. The boy then displayed a pocket knife he was carrying and the suspects left without any of his property.

The first suspect was described as a black male, approximately 20 years old, wearing a green T-shirt with the words "South Pole" and blue jean shorts. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall. The second suspect was described as a white male, approximately 20 years old, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans with multicolored denim patches. He has short brown hair and goatee-style facial hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 253-3231 or detective Jeffery Mead at 255-4706.
