Daniel A. Leeds

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. - Daniel A. Leeds, 51, died suddenly of a heart attack Monday, Aug. 29, 2005.
Born in April 1954 in Oceanside Long Island, Mr. Leeds attended high school in Moravia and Highland Falls. Most recently, he resided in Midlothian, Va. with his wife, Michele Bodine Leeds and 8-year-old son, Austin.

Mr. Leeds earned a master's degree in computer science from Northwestern University in 1984. During his career as a computer program developer, Mr. Leeds was involved in many projects including preparing all major telephone companies for Y2K. Currently, he worked for Pragmatics Inc. in McClean, Va., a subcontractor for the Department of Homeland Security where he provided technological support to secure the country's borders.

Mr. Leeds will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Michele Bodine Leeds; son Austin; mother, Irene Leeds of Delmar; siblings, Laura Leeds of Delmar, Stephanie Leeds of Syracuse, Joey Kayanan of Williamsburg, Va., Melissa Roberts of Plainfield, N.J., Peter Leeds of Gilbert, Ariz., Melanie Leeds of Glenmont and Albert Leeds of New York; parents-in-law, Harry Bodine of Moravia and Genevieve Bodine of Homer; brothers-in-law, Brian Matthews, Leslie Kayanan, James Roberts, Harry Bodine of Austin, Texas and Michael Bodine of Moravia; sisters-in-law, Terry Latier Leeds, Christine Uhlemann of Cortland, Maureen Bodine of Austin, Texas, and Kathleen Monk of Tully and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 4 to 7 p.m. today at the W. E. Wade & Sons Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Moravia. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., Albany, and 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Albany, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are also invited to call after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the McVeigh Funeral Home. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
