PORT BYRON - Kathleen M. Podlaha, 46, of Frost Hill Road, Savannah, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center, Auburn.
Kathleen was born in Auburn, the daughter of Gilbert and Rita Cole Baker. She was a 1977 graduate of Port Byron High School and in 1991 completed the nurses aide program. She was employed by Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center until her illness last year.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Anton Podlaha; a son, Jacob Wieczorek of Weedsport; a daughter, Rachel Wieczorek of Savannah; her mother, Rita Baker of Port Byron; three brothers, Gilbert Baker of Port Byron, Douglas Baker of Glascow, Ky. and James Baker of Baldwinsville; four sisters, Eilzabeth Baker of Auburn, Sandra Pigula of Moravia, Peggy Bernardoni of Port Byron, and Christine Cooney of Naples.
She was predeceased by her father, Gilbert Baker, in 1982.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Aug. 23, at the Audioun Funeral Home, 218 Main St., Port Byron. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, in St. John Church, Port Byron. Interment will be in Conquest Cemetery.
