The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse has announced its 2006 season, and once again the theater will offer five shows instead of four.
"Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story," a Merry-Go-Round Playhouse premiere, will lead off the 2006 season. That show will be followed by the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic "The King and I," Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man" and Lerner and Loewe's "Gigi," which is also a regional professional premiere.
In addition to the regular season of four shows, the theater will also be producing a bonus show "My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra." This will be the second season for a bonus production, following the positive response to the 2005 season's fifth show "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change."
Single tickets for the 2006 season will not go on sale until next spring, but subscription sales are available now. For more information, call the theater box office at 255-1785, or visit www.merry-go-round.com.
