AUBURN - With a six-run second inning, S.K. Post was able to fend off Auburn Firefighters 8-6 in a second-round playoff game in the Auburn Babe Ruth League on Thursday night.
Anthony Siracuse powered S.K.'s offense with a three-run double. Tyler Garafalo (double), Tom Ferlenda, Brad Murdoch and Bill Kick each added a hit.
Tim Trowell got the win on the mound and Nick Rusinko pitched for the save.
Mike Assmann led Firefighters with three hits. Bob Buckley had two hits, and Bill Scala added a double.
Assmann and Buckley also shared mound duties.
