Emergency workers with bright lights used several boats and a helicopter to search Owasco Lake. Police and fire department workers established a staging area near Emerson Park in Owasco about 9 p.m. and continued searching the water late into the night and early Friday morning.
One man walked out of the water and past onlookers and emergency officials as they searched the water. When he was asked to remain for questioning by a Fleming firefighter, he took a swing at the firefighter and took off.
By Friday morning, both men reported to have been in the boat had been accounted for. The boat had been located and divers were scheduled to retrieve it from the water Friday morning.
