Peter M. Rath

FAYETTE - Peter M. Rath, 66, of 4338 MacDougal Road, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2005, at his home.
Peter was born Feb. 11, 1939 in Auburn. He was the son of the late Peter and Pauline Derring Rath. He worked as a carpenter with the Carpenters Local of Rochester and Houtenbrink#,s Inc. of Waterloo. He was an avid runner and was a member of several running clubs. He ran the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., the New York City Marathon and marathons in Utah and Corning.

He is survived by his son, Thomas (Kelly Hoover) Rath of Romulus; daughter, Jennifer (Kyle) Salone of Geneva; sister, Paula O'Hora of Waterloo; grandchildren, Kyle, Tony, Thomas, Lauren and Jacob; several nieces and nephews; and Doris A. Covey.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 9, at the Palmisano Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at noon, at the funeral home, with Ruth A. Page officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fleming.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesee Region Home Care, 1120 S. Main St., Newark, NY 14513.
