The four screens at Fingerlakes Mall cinema will go dark at the end of the week as the mall looks for a new operator for its movie theater.
Cinema North, the Rutland, Vt. company that runs the Fingerlakes 4 Cinema, has come to an agreement with the mall to cease operation. The mall is talking with another movie operator to take over the screens, according to mall spokeswoman Connie Tallcot.

Movieplex 10, which is actually in Sennett in Grant Avenue Plaza, will remain open.

Since Bass Pro Shops opened in June 2004, there have been 20 new retailers in the mall, but some businesses have left. Among the more recent departures are Blue Gecko, the 60s Shop and GoWireless.
