Trombley's tops Auburn Correctional

AUBURN - Trombley's used a seven-run sixth inning to defeat Auburn Correctional Facility 11-6 in Auburn Babe Ruth action on Monday
A.J. Spinelli had three hits to lead the offense, while Mike Terry, Mike Hogan, Tim Cool, John Fiermonte and Luke Christiantelli also added hits. Terry and Zach Sears split mound duties for Trombley's.

For ACF, Paul Ringwood had four hits (double), Eric Conway had two doubles and Chris Quearns had two hits. Mike Gordon absorbed the loss.

AUBURN LITTLE LEAGUE

Allen Martinez struck out the side in the bottom of the sixth to lead Michaels & Smolak over The Printery 13-9 in playoff action. Jamie Kelly had three hits (home run), while Noah Hutchings and Joe Messino each had two hits. Zach Siracusa, Messino and Martinez each struck out three for Michaels & Smolak.

Jordan Tabone had three hits for The Printery, while Steven Giannotta and Brett Lowe combined for nine Ks.

Rocco DeFranco had three hits, including two doubles, as Auburn Police Department edged Bouley's 14-13. Marc Dushatinski, Ryan York and Zach Cousineau had two hits, and Nick Calarco had a triple. Calarco and Nathaniel Donch combined for 11 strikeouts.

Trevor Doan and Nick Gentilcore led Bouley's with three hits each, while Nick Koziol and Chris Porten had two.

Doan pitched a complete game with seven strike outs, and Megan Hutchings and Sean Gatewood played well defensively.

SANDLOT

Meyer Bookbinding and Children's Health Specialists played to a 14-14 tie.

Jaylen Jones had a three hits to lead Meyer Bookbinding, while Christian Walters and Dylan Walters had two hits each. Nazir Smith had an unassisted double play.

Blake Palmer had two hits for Children's Health Specialists, while Brandon Tardonbone had one.

Austin Jenner plated a triple as Throop Fire Department defeated Nucor 12-7. Bradley Waslencko pitched well and Peyton Gregory played well defensively.

Jordan Aquiar and Dustin Culver each had three RBIs for Nucor. Aaron Kilmer played well defensively.

AUBURN BOYS AND GIRLS LEAGUE

Austin Duger had two unassisted double plays and Ricardo Rivera played well defensively as Tru Cut Technology defeated The Printery 16-14. Zach Stanton, Lucy Gentile, Kaelyn Stanton, Reagan Graney and Hunter Duger added three hits.

Jake Morlin had four hits for The Printery, while Tyler Daddabbo and Jack Farringon had two hits each.

Trentyn Jackson and Alex Herring each had four hits to lead Gaston-Moore Photography over Auburn Firefighters 21-16. Julian Martinez added three hits.

Mitch Hogan had four hits for Auburn Firefighters. Nathan Heyde and McCrea White had good defensive games.

Michael Pidlypchak and Joseph Maier had doubles and Evan Donovan had a hit as Aflac of New York defeated The Printery 21-7. Jay Wilkes had a double play and John-Paul Maier played well defensively.

Emily Robillard, Sara Szozda and Julianne Evolina had hits. Tyler Daddabbo had hits.

Jake Hickey and David Hickey had three hits each to lead Auburn Police Department over Empire Hardware 19-16. Joshua Watson had two hits, and Patrick DeLuca made a double play.
