BATAVIA - Four errors led to a pair of unearned runs, and John Hardy added two RBIs to lead the Muckdogs over the Doubledays 4-0 Wednesday night.
The Muckdogs opened the scoring in the second inning when Matt Edwards drew a walk. After a throwing error, a wild pitch and a pass ball, Edwards crossed the plate to put Batavia up 1-0.
In the fourth, two more Auburn errors put Muckdogs in scoring position for Hardy, who singled both runners home. Lou Marson scored the final run in the sixth inning after reaching on an error.
The Doubledays managed just three hits in the game coming off the bats of Marshall Bernhard, Ryan Patterson and Josh Bell.
Ronald Hill (1-0) got the win on the mound for the Muckdogs, striking out three batters in two innings of relief. Fernando Quijada earned his first save of the season.
Kristian Bell (0-1) went 4 1-3 innings and allowed just four hits and two earned runs while striking out six for the loss.
The Doubledays will try for their first win of the 2005 season to avoid a sweep tonight in Batavia.
