Star Quality: Placed first at the Canastota Relays, first at the Cayuga County Championships and fourth at the Section III qualifier in Division II.

Star Quality: League champion, fourth all-time on the Laker leaderboard.

Coach's Quote: "Alex's real strengths weren't revealed until the final two weeks of his career when we discovered he was a natural pentathlete who could run the 1500 in 4:45," Skaneateles coach Jack Reed said.

Star Quality: Undefeated until state qualifier.

Coach's Quote: "Josh helps out with everyone on the team," said Weedsport coach Tom Kunkel. "If every team had a kid like him it would make all our jobs a lot easier."

Nick Van Wie

Weedsport So. Triple Jump

STAR STAT: 43-9.5

Star Quality: Won the state qualifier and is regarded as second best triple jumper in school history.

Coach's Quote: "Nick is outstanding," Weedsport coach Tom Kunkel said. "He took the triple jump and went with it. He has a great personality and works very hard in practice. I can see him taking this triple jump into college and succeeding."

Coach's Quote: "Tyler worked on his vaulting as hard during the season as humanly possible," Skaneateles coach Jack Reed said. "His best moments came during practice but his future at Binghamton University is bright for the vault."

Bobby Sovocool

Moravia Jr. Shot Put

STAR STAT: 42-8

Star Quality: Sovocool is built for the shot put - big and strong.

Coach's Quote: "Bobby has only scratched the surface of his ability," said Moravia coach Jan Hunsinger. "If he really pushes himself and works hard, there is no telling how far he can throw."

Skaneateles Sr. 1600m

STAR STAT: 4:24.96

Star Quality: 1600 is not even Corsello's best event but he got the nod at Section III tournament.

Coach's Quote: "Steve ran the mile five times, with the goal of only achieving a good time. The rest of the time it was for boosting the teams points," Skaneateles coach Jack Reed said.
