After three seasons in Auburn, hitting coach Dave Pano is leaving the Auburn Doubledays to become the manager of the Pulaski Blue Jays of the Appalachian League.
He has previous coaching experience at St. Petersburg (Fla.) College. Pano led the St. Petersburg to the Junior College World Series last weekend where they are still alive for the championship.

Pulaski hitting coach Justin Mashore will take over for Pano. Mashore is the sone of former major-leaguer Clyde Mashore, who played five seasons for the Expos and the Reds. Mashore has been Pulaski's hitting coach for the past two seasons.

Mashore played 11 seasons in the minor leagues and played in seven games in the majors with the San Diego Padres in 1997. His professional career started as the Detroit Tigers' fifth-round draft choice in the 1991 amateur draft.
