An Auburn man who pleaded guilty to child pornography charges in both U.S. District Court in Syracuse and Cayuga County Court had his sentencing in both jurisdictions postponed Tuesday.
Kevin Shwaryk, 55 of 17 Morris St., will be sentenced in federal court 11:30 a.m. on July 25 for pleading in January to the federal charge of possession of child pornography. He faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and $250,000 fine.
Shwaryk's county sentencing for a state felony charge of the possession of a hard-copy pornographic picture of an underage child engaged in a sexual act will succeed his federal sentencing to allow Surrogate County Judge Mark Fandrich to make Shwaryk's state sentence run at the same time.
