Langtry, Driscoll, Graceffo each pitch three-hitters

TRUMANSBURG - Cory Langtry pitched a three-hitter with 15 strikeouts, three walks and one earned run to lead the Moravia baseball team to an 11-2 win over Trumansburg on Monday.
Jared Hatfield had two hits and one RBI. Jake Wood and Tim Nervina each had two hits and one double.

Moravia improved to 14-5, 12-2.

Union Springs 10, Newfield 4

NEWFIELD - The Wolves' Ryan Driscoll pitched a three-hitter, allowing three hits and striking out nine. Driscoll also added two hits and a double.

Tony Tabone (two RBI, double) and Jeff Covich each had three hits, with Covich adding two doubles and three RBIs. Union Springs hosts Groton today.

Auburn 17, Nottingham 2

SYRACUSE - Jeff Graceffo struck out19 in a three-hitter to lead the Maroons. Zach Prentice hit a three-run home run with five RBIs, three hits and three runs.

Kurt Handley and Nick Prentice each had three hits, a RBI and one double each. Graceffo added three hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Auburn (12-7, 8-5) hosts Fayetteville-Manlius on Friday at Falcon Park.

JV BASEBALL

Union Springs 12, Newfield 1

UNION SPRINGS - Caleb Lyndecker pitched a complete game with 12 strikeouts, two hits and two walks. Nick Johnston and Chris Fleming each had two hits and James Benham added one hit.

GOLF

Bishop Ludden 193, Skaneateles 202

SYRACUSE - Matt Christopher shot a 34 to pace the Lakers. Mike Lemp shot a 37, Wes Evans had a 39, Alex Walsh added a 45 and Adam Severance fired a 46.

Skaneateles (7-4) plays at CBA on Wednesday.

Lansing 199, Southern Cayuga 256

AURORA - Lewis Morris' 44 paced the Chiefs. Casey Underwood added 45, Jordan Dean had a 52, Arthur Burt carded a 54 and Zach Wood shot a 55.

Union Springs 201, Odessa-Montour 255

ODESSA - Luke Patterson led the Wolves with a 34. Matt Cuff shot a 36, Jim Schooley added a 42, Dustin Clark fired a 44 and Nate Gavitt had a 45.

Union Springs (10-3) plays at Elmira Heights on Wednesday.

TRACK AND FIELD

Southern Cayuga at IAC Pentathlon

WAVERLY - Chris Hilliard placed first overall in the 110 hurdles (16.55), the shot put (41-2.25), the long jump (18-11.25), the high jump (6-0.75) and the 1500m (4:48.05).

Hilliard scored 3,149 total points for first place.
