WEEDSPORT - Frederick J. Zimmer, 71, of Weedsport, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Auburn Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Zimmer was born in Auburn, on March 2, 1934. He was the son of the late Earl and Anna Lewis Zimmer. Fred attended LeMoyne College, and was a veteran of the Army. He was employed previously at Wegman's as a cashier.

Fred is survived by his family: His sister, Christine Bailey and her husband, Ray, of Kentucky; his three brothers, John and his wife, Betty, and Henry and his wife, Marie, all of Weedsport, and Joseph and his wife, Marge, of Maine; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, in St. Joseph's Church, Weedsport. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Weedsport. There will be no calling hours.
