Senecas arrive late, lose to Chiefs
POPLAR RIDGE - The Watkins Glen softball team arrived late to play Southern Cayuga on Friday, and never caught up.
The Senecas, who arrived 45 minutes late after detouring to drop off their tennis team at Moravia, fell behind 3-0 after one inning before eventually losing 5-2.
Ashley Lehtonen and Moriah Jacobson combined for nine strikeouts in the win.
