NORTH SYRACUSE - Jack Redmond scored with 2:29 in overtime to lead the Auburn High lacrosse team to an 11-10 overtime win over No. 7 state-ranked Cicero-North Syracuse on Wednesday evening.
This win avenges a 14-3 loss to the Northstars two weeks ago. Frank DiMora came up with a huge save that allowed the Maroons to bring the ball down and set up Redmond's goal.
Ryan Lewis found the net five times to lead the Maroons. Redmond finished with two goals. Jake Conway, Matt Chadderdon, Joe Taylor and Matt Malenick each scored one goal.
Brian Hoey had two assists and Adam Clary added one assist. DiMora had 11 saves.
"It was an incredible 48 minutes of lacrosse and I couldn't be prouder of these young men, they did an outstanding job tonight," Auburn coach Steve Crosby said."
Auburn led in groundballs 38-21 and faceoffs 15-9. C-NS led in shots on goal 43-32.
Auburn (5-7) hosts Corcoran at 7 p.m. Friday at Holland Stadium.
Jordan-Elbridge 12, CBA 7
ELBRIDGE - Cory Smart paced the Eagles with four goals and one assist.
Brian Belcher added two goals and one assist and Rob Humphreys netted two goals. Jeremy Dejohn, Joe Poppe and Pat Daniluk pitched in with one goal and one assist each.
Aaron Guadagnolo added one goal and Todd Richardson had one assist.
Pat Halinan had eight stops in the net and Jason Norfolk added two.
Jordan-Elbridge (3-7) plays at LaFayette on Friday.

SKANEATELES - Andrew Grutka pitched a complete game with one earned run, seven strikeouts, six hits and two walks to lead the Lakers.
Zach Liebman had three hits, three runs and four RBIs to pace the offense. Dan Bennett had three hits, four runs, and an RBI. Mike Perkins had three hits, two runs and two RBIs and Grutka added two hits, two runs and one RBI.
Skaneateles (7-5, 5-1) plays at Westhill today.

EAST SYRACUSE - Steve Deyo pitched 5 1/3 innings with four strikeouts, four walks, seven hits and two earned runs and Greg Feocco pitched the last 2 2/3 innings with one strikeout three walks, two hits and three runs.
Zach Prentice led the Auburn bats with four hits, two runs and two RBIs. Jeff Graceffo had three hits with one double. Feocco had three hits and one RBI and Danny Zambito added two hits and an RBI. Dan Cuff had a sac fly RBI.
Auburn (5-4, 7-6) hosts Corcoran at 4:30 p.m. today at Falcon Park.

PORT BYRON - Matt Janusz slugged a double to paced the Panthers. Nate Short, Joe Traver, and Kevin Cassler added a hit.
Mitch David took the loss for Port Byron.
Port Byron (1-8) plays Weedsport in the first round of the Cayuga County Baseball Tournament Friday.

Southern Cayuga 5, Moravia 2
POPLAR RIDGE - Ben Janssen defeated Doug Eshleman 6-2, 6-3 in first singles to lead the Chiefs. In second singles, the Chiefs' Cody Hall beat Marcia Eshleman 6-0, 6-0. In third singles, Southern Cayuga's Paul Schmitt beat Kevin Sisto 6-0, 6-1.
At fourth singles, the Chiefs' Jeff Piechuta beat Travis Lefever 7-5, 6-2. Southern Cayuga's Luke Powers and Jesse Littlejohn beat Kalan Morey and Heather Dwyer 6-0, 0-7, 6-0 in second doubles.
Tom Swan and Martin Wronski edged Sara Minnoe and Megan Smith in first doubles 6-4, 6-4 to lead the Blue Devils. In third doubles, the Chiefs' Brian Morrison and Samantha Lorah beat Brittni Meil and Brian Denman 6-3, 6-3.

Union Springs (5-2) plays at Trumansburg on Thursday and Friday at Moravia. The only two losses for the Wolves came against Lansing.

CORTLAND - Paul Barbaglia won the 1600m (5:08.5) and the 3200m (11:15.6) to lead the Eagles.
Joel Lopez won the 800m (2:22.0). Chris Weingarth, Matt Braudrick, Lopez and Jake Dillon won the 4x800m relay (9:27.8). Lopez, Braudrick, Joe Sullivan and Barbaglia (3:58.5) won the 4x400m relay (3:58.5).

WEEDSPORT - Mark Baker needed a first-place finish in the pole vault in order for the Warriors to win and he did - with a 11-foot jump to lead the Warriors.
Josh Galletta won the 100m (11.6), the long jump (19-6) and was a part of the 4x100m relay (46.6) which included Jeff Williams, John Mietz and Kerry Green.
Sean Daly won the 3200m (11:27.4), Brad Labulis won the discus (105-10) and Nick VanWie won the triple jump (41-8.6). Matt Baker, Mark Baker, Alex Baker and Jim Bos won the 4x800m relay (9:06).
Weedsport (5-0) runs at APW on Wednesday.

AUBURN - Chris Gomez pitched five innings with seven strikeouts and Bob Buckley pitched two innings and one strikeout. Gomez led the offense with three singles.
Nick Rusinka had two doubles, Ryan LaRue had one RBI single and Nick Ventura added a single.
