"The key to my pitching was the location of my fastball, 60 percent of the time it worked all the time," Pittinger said.
Moravia stranded two runners in the first inning, but scored three runs in the second inning and three in the third. In the third, Tim Nervina sparked the rally with a two-RBI single.
Union Springs committed five errors which led to three of Moravia's runs.
Pittinger had two hits and one double on the other side of the plate. Nervina (one double) and Jared Hatfield each had two hits and two RBIs. Brad Mulvaney added two hits.
"Craig pitched a strong game, it was a team effort overall," Moravia coach Rich Valentino said.
Union Springs was led by Tyler Perkins, Drew Brantner and Joe Czornig with one hit each.
Moravia (9-5, 8-2) plays Friday at Groton and Saturday against the winner of Weedsport and Port Byron. The Warriors and Panthers face off at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Falcon Park.
