Chiefs break out vs. Moravia

POPLAR RIDGE - A six-run fourth inning propelled Southern Cayuga over Moravia, 11-3, in IAC softball on Thursday.
"We took advantage of several miscues from the Moravia defense," said Chiefs coach Dave Hewitt, referring to the Blue Devils' seven errors.

Colleen Lukas paced the Chiefs with two hits (double) and two RBIs. Kate Bradley also had two hits, and Traci Hewitt pitched in with a double.

Moriah Jacobson got the win for Southern Cayuga, striking out four and scattering eight hits.

Mandy Hilliard paced the Blue Devils with two hits (triple) and Cayla Wade had two hits and two RBIs.

Moravia drops to 3-3 on the season while Southern Cayuga (5-1) travels to Marathon today.
