Willard C. Nower

BOUCKVILLE - Willard C. Nower, 86, of Maple Street, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.

Born Nov. 7, 1918, in the Town of Lebanon, he was a son of LaFayette and Ruth Sawyer Nower, and was a graduate of Madison schools. On March 2, 1940, Willard was united in marriage to Helen E. Dahn in Bouckville. Mr. Nower had worked for the Wormuth Surge Co. in Morrisville until his retirement. He had previously worked for Sealtest Foods in Bouckville.

Mr. Nower was a member of the Bouckville United Methodist Church. He was a dedicated and active member of the Madison Fire Department for many years, where he held several offices including president, secretary and chief. He also was a member and past president of the Madison County Firemen's Association, and a member of the New York State Firemen's Association.
