AUBURN - Maureen Charles, 65, of Auburn passed away Monday, March 14, 2005, at University Hospital, Syracuse.

Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Bandas Dolan. Maureen was a classmate of the last graduating class of Holy Family High School. She was employed with the former Big Store and the former Argersinger's. She later was employed with and retired from JC Penney's. Maureen was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Charles Sr. of Auburn; a daughter, Mary Beth McAvoy (Ted) of Syracuse; two sons, Michael Charles and Edward Charles (Linda), all of Auburn; three brothers, James Dolan (Pam) of Auburn, Thomas Dolan (Jaci) of Michigan and William Dolan (Eileen) of Auburn; a sister, Patricia Treat (Thomas) of Auburn; five grandchildren, Kristin and Kevin McAvoy, Gabrielle, Michael and Edward Charles and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church followed by entombment in St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum.
