AUBURN - Ellen E. O'Hora, 84, widow of John P. O'Hora, of 115 Wall St., died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at her home.
A life resident of Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Gleason, and was a communicant of St. Aloysius Church. Ellen was a graduate of Auburn Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and served with the Army in North Africa during World War II. She was employed by Cayuga County Department of Social Services as a caseworker until her retirement.
Surviving are her children, Mary Gorton-Gill and her husband, Michael, of Liverpool, Susanne More and her husband, Gary, of Henderson, Nev., John O'Hora and his wife, Kathleen, of Baldwinsville, and Michael O'Hora and his wife, Lou Ann, of Croton-on-Hudson; grandchildren, Matthew, Delilah, Melissa, Kay, George and Brendan; two sisters, Mary Jacobs and her husband, Albert, of Manlius, and Ann Nervina and her husband, Ronald, of Auburn; a brother, Eugene Gleason and his wife, Marge of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her children, John, Jacqueline and Mary; a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Veronica.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Nicpon Funeral Home, 235 State St.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Finger Lakes.
