Today is the final day for pre-registration to take part in Tuesday's "Spring Into Good Health" event at the Booker T. Washington Community Center in Auburn.
The program, put on by the Cayuga County Health Department, Dr. William Foresman, the American Cancer Society and Booker T. Washington Community Center, provides medically under-insured men and women education about and testing for colorectal, breast and prostate cancers.
"Spring Into Good Health" will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the center, 23 Chapman Ave., Auburn. It is open to all men and women who are medically uninsured or underinsured (ie. have high deductibles or services not covered) and who meet these age criteria: men, ages 45 and older and women, ages 30 and older. Younger people at high risk because of close family history of breast, colon or prostate cancer are also invited.
A wide range of health screening services will be available, along with cooking demonstrations, massages, refreshments, manicures, door prizes and giveaways, makeup and hairstyle consultations, child care and informational displays.
To sign-up or obtain more information, please call Julie Delaney at 253-1455.
