AUBURN - Chris Sears rolled the high series of the day - 674 - in the second weekend of the Byrn Jr. Masters Bowling Tournament at Polish Lanes Saturday.

Sears' 674 came in a loser's bracket match that knocked out Matt Janusz, who rolled a 597. In other loser's bracket matches, Gavin Dennis beat Justin Feldman, 534-498, Chris Fleming edged Nate Breese, 632-628 and Jerry Ripley defeated Mike Hogan, 617-479.

In the winners bracket, Mike Lumb downed Geary Gioia, 618-536, Matt Babcock beat Nick Janusz, 614-586, Todd Moore got by Andrew Perkins, 583-571 and Kevin Roche topped Tony DeTomaso, 655-643.

Earlier, Lumb got by Feldman, 618-590, Gioia beat Dennis, 595-446, Janusz defeated Ripley, 587-558, Babcock downed Hogan, 504-487, Moore topped Breese, 543-464, Perkins triumphed over Fleming, 639-596, Roche beat Janusz, 659-605 and DeTomaso downed Sears, 637-618.

In today, 1 p.m. loser's bracket matches at Polish Falcons, it's Dennis vs. Ripley, Fleming vs. Sears, Gioia vs. Janusz and Perkins vs. DeTomaso.

In the 2:30 p.m. winners bracket, it's Lumb vs. Babcock and Moore vs. Roche.

In the girls tournament at Polish Falcons, at 1 p.m., it's Brianna Gomez vs. Stefanie Spinney, Becca O'Donnell vs. Brittany Lang, Jackie Bennett vs. Julie Janusz and Kelley Horbal vs. Blind.

At 2:30 p.m., both winners and losers brackets bowl again.
