SKANEATELES FALLS - Frederick A. "Whitey" Allen, 88, of Masters Road, Skaneateles Falls, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at his home following an extended illness.

Mr. Allen was born in Syracuse on Sept. 20, 1916. He had lived in the Auburn-Skaneateles Falls area for much of his life. Mr. Allen was a tool engineer and had been employed with the Math Brownell Company in Syracuse for many years. He was a veteran of the Navy having served during WW II.

Mr. Allen is survived by his daughter, Pam Daly (Richard) of Scipio; his sons, Frederick (Fritz) Allen (Phyllis) of Fleming and Patrick Allen of Waterloo; nine grandchildren, Scott and Bill Cosselman, Rich and Shannon Daly, Carrie, Patrick, April, Mandy and Heather Allen. Frederick was predeceased by his wife, Barbara "Babe" Nolan Allen in 1996.

Visiting hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn. Funeral Services for Mr. Allen will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fleming Rural Cemetery.
