KING FERRY - Margaret Agnes Tuttle, 97, formerly of King Ferry, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at the Fountain View Village Skilled Nursing Home in Fountain Hills, Ariz.
Margaret was born in Syracuse on Sept. 13, 1907, the daughter of the late Lee F. And Kathryn Sullivan Krause. She was a graduate of Maywood College in Scranton, Pa., class of 1930, and she was an educator of home economics at the Grant Junior High School from 1930 to 1942. She was also a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Church in King Ferry and a Cayuga County Red Cross volunteer for many years.
She is survived by two nephews, Roy A. Tuttle Jr. of Fountain Hills, Ariz. and James R. Tuttle of Owego; two nieces, Mrs. Robert (Jeanne) Herst of Union Springs and Mrs. James (Vivian) Hughes of King Ferry; several grandnieces and grandnephews.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in King Ferry with the Rev. Donald Curtiss celebrant. Spring Interment will be in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery, King Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Church, c/o Good Shepherd Catholic Community, P. O. Box 296, Aurora, NY 13026, in memory of Margaret A. Tuttle. The Shakelton Funeral Home in Aurora is in charge of arrangements.
