CONQUEST - William (Wampie) Warner, 76, formerly of Conquest, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo.
Mr. Warner was born in Ovid, the son of Harry and Grace Clark Warner. He has been a resident of the Port Byron/Conquest area most of his life. He was employed by Clinton Corn of Montezuma and was a self-employed roofer. He enjoyed playing cards and watching sports and the world poker tour on television.
He is survived by seven brothers, Harry of Baldwinsville, Howard of E. Syracuse, Peter and Paul of Fair Haven, George of Canastota, Mike of Clay and John of Minetto; six sisters, Emily Warner of Auburn, Helen Bennett of Skaneateles, Mary Klaben of Sennett, Dorothy Cartner of Auburn, Etta Armlin of Mexico and Sally Warner of Seneca Falls; several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 from the Audioun Funeral Home, 218 Main St., Port Byron. Spring interment will be in Springlake Cemetery.
