Donald W. Alnutt

AUBURN - Donald W. Alnutt, 55, of 123 Van Anden St., Auburn, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at his home following an extended illness.
Donald was born in Auburn on Feb. 8, 1949, the son of the late Wilfred and Ruth Mae Thompson Alnutt. Mr. Alnutt was a former self-employed truck driver and also had been employed with Automatic Rolls and most recently, with Mulcorr Container Co. of Auburn. He enjoyed being involved with youth baseball, having been a former president of the Auburn Sandlot League. Donald was a street and hot rod enthusiast and owner of classic cars. He was a member of the Prison City Ramblers, and the Antique Auto Club of America. Mr. Alnutt was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church.

Donald is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pamela Salata Alnutt and his two sons, Donald F. and Timothy T. Alnutt, all of Auburn; a sister, Bea Conklin (Rich) of Pa., his two brothers, Wilfred Alnutt Jr. (Marge) of Auburn and Robert Alnutt (Sharon) of Port Byron; an aunt, Velma Thompson of Sennett; his mother-in-law, Fannie Salata of Iowa: sister-in-laws, Marianne Tindall (Frank) of Mich., Kathy Charles (Pat) of Auburn and Patricia Gullion (Michael) of Blue Grass, Iowa; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be sadly missed by his pets whom he adored, his two dogs, Max and Roxie and his cat, Buzz.

Donald was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Mills, who died in 2000 and her husband, Earl Mills, who died in 2002.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered for Donald at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Friends may visit with his family 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St.
