SKANEATELES -- Thomas R. Redmond, 47, of 868 Franklin St., Skaneateles, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at home.
Born in Syracuse Tom lived in Elbridge before moving to Skaneateles in 1981. He was a 1975 graduate of Jordan-Elbridge High School. Tom graduated from SUNY Delhi in 1977 and he earned a BA degree in architecture from Texas Tech University in 1981. For the past 24 years, Tom has been with the Beardsley Design Associates of Auburn.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's of the Lake Church, Skaneateles. Tom was a coach for 16 years in the Delaney Youth Basketball League. He was a member of the Skaneateles Country Club. Tom loved golfing, fishing, skiing and boating. He particularly enjoyed the family cottage on the St. Lawrence River.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, James and Shirleyann; and his sister, Lynn Ann.
Surviving is his wife of 24 years, the former Maria Balzano; three sons, Nicholas J. of Niagara Falls, Kevin C. and Thomas J. of Skaneateles; a brother, James M. (Candis) Redmond of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; uncle and aunt, Robert and Barbara Crawford of Dexter; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Monday, in St. Mary's Church, Skaneateles. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St., Elbridge.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Redmond Family Children's Education Fund, c/o Amy Hickock, First Niagara Bank, 115 Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021.
