WOLCOTT - Shirley M. DeRosia, 46, of Ridge Road, Wolcott, went to be with her Lord Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.
Shirley was born in Penn Yan on Dec. 5, 1958, and she was a resident of the Wolcott area for most of her life. She enjoyed making crafts, knitting and reading during her free time.
She is survived by her companion, Vince Klueber of Wolcott; her mother, Shirley Lafler Doucet and Hugh Hazlewood of Red Creek; one daughter, Cassandra (David) Shallington of Wolcott; four sons, Christopher DeRosia of Clyde, Russell Noftell of Lyons and Nathan and Gavin Shields, both of Ovid; two grandchildren, Angelica Shallington and David Shallington Jr.; one sister, Debra (Ron) Hall of Cato; three brothers, Joseph Doucet III of Michigan, Kenneth (Deborah) Doucet of Rose and Patrick Doucet of Clyde; several cousins; and she was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Michael Shields; and a granddaughter, Cordelia Shallington.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Becker Funeral Home, Church Street, Red Creek. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
