A Locke man was charged Thursday with felony criminal contempt after Cayuga County Sheriff Rob Outhouse said he violated a "stay away" order of protection a number of times.
Milan D. Obrien, 45, of 12264 Water St., faces one count each of first- and second-degree contempt, fourth-degree stalking, second-degree coercion and second-degree aggravated harassment. He was arraigned before town of Lock Justice Philip Franklin and sent to the Cayuga County jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
Outhouse said his detectives began their investigation Jan. 14 following a number of reports that Obrien was in violation of the order. On Thursday, Obrien surrendered to detectives in the village of Moravia.
