I can easily see such things happening in many parts of the country -- what happens if you build it and they DON'T come -- all that waste of money, destruction of open spaces and natural habitat -- for nothing. Maybe a tax write-off or an item in a big bankruptcy.
Either that, or the place in Auburn fills up with the kind of low-lifes who stole the BBQ grill from the old folks -- and worse.
Auburn is not exactly a growing community in need of lots of additional housing. Without jobs, having more housing is useless, whereas a few open, natural areas is very nice for those who loyally remain. "

I'm here with Leon -- who notes the blank page which should have been a letter to the editor, with movedsouth, who is asking about training for soldiers before going to Iraq, with kavetrano, who is shouting in all caps as if she were writing directly to Bonca's, and brew, who wrote about the movie The Postman in relation to his views on Obama.
I really HAVE fallen into a rabbit hole! "
