AUBURN - The Auburn Midgets remain undefeated after a 7-4 win over Geneva in a youth hockey game this past weekend.
Dustin Lefave and Ryan Lashomb each scored hat tricks to lead Auburn. Chris Socci added one goal. B.J. Shaw and Jeff Covich each had two assists.
Matt Long had 15 saves.
PEE WEE
Jared Humphrey, Matt Festa, and Mike McLaughlin each scored hat tricks to lead McLaughlin's Glass to a 11-0 win over Valley.
Toly Capecefalo added two goals. Bobby Gage had four assists, J.T. Foltz had three, Brad Murdoch, Festa, and McLaughlin each added one assist. Tyler Falcone and Steve Komanecky combined for seven saves. Mike Piwinski was praised for his defense.
BANTAM
Nick Zappia, Mike Ryan, Frank Murtari, and Kevin Festa each scored one goal as the Custom Engraving Bantams defeated Valley 4-3. Mick Sicchio had two assists, Mike Miskell and Festa each added one.
Chris Murdoch, Chris Clifford, Scott Garrett were praised for defense.
Tom Trowell had 14 saves in goal.
BANTAM HOUSE
The Auburn Modular Comfort Systems team tied Skaneateles 6-6. For Auburn, Brad Lasagna had a hat trick and two assists, Reggie Townsend added two goals and one assist, Ormie King had one goal. Melissa Colvin had two assists. Brandon Lasagna had 29 saves in goal.
For Skaneateles, Dylan Vanholtz had four goals, Jacob Bird had one goal and four assists and Noah Allyn had one goal and two assists. Matt Pidgeon had 19 saves.
SQUIRT HOUSE
Nick McQueeny and Brett Lowe had two goals each to lead Auburn past Ithaca 7-2. Taylor Hutchings, Cole Bowen, and Scott Moniz each scored one goal. Jeffrey Gardner had 15 saves.
UNDER-12 GIRLS
The Auburn girls lost to Mohawk Valley 14-1. Jen Bruno scored the lone goal on an assist by Maggie Lewis. Gabby Petrosino, Meghan May, Mollie Simmons and Sarah Reese were praised for their hustle.
Amanda Lupo had 31 saves in goal.
